Russian Air Forces downed 170 Ukrainian drones and 11 guided missiles over Crimea Peninsula and six Russian regions overnight, the Russian Defence Ministry reported on Saturday.
"During the past night from 22:00 to 05:00, air defense systems on duty destroyed and intercepted 170 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles of the aircraft type," the Defence Ministry said.
Of these drones, 96 had been downed over Crimea, 47 over Krasnodar regions, nine over Rostov region, eight over Bryansk region, eight over Kursk region and two over Belgorod region.
In addition, Russian Air Forces destroyed, 8 British-supplied Storm Shadow cruise missiles and 3 Ukraine-developed Neptune-MD guided missiles over the Black Sea. Overall, nearly 100 of the missiles and drones have allegedly been destroyed over the peninsula. A video footage shared in Russian Telegram channels captured destruction of Ukrainian drones and missiles.
It should be noted that the greatest damage as a result of Ukrainian attack was reported in Novorossiysk city in Krasnodar region where four people were injured as a result of debris falling on residential buildings, according to regional governor Veniamin Kondratyev.
