Four civilians injured in Russian drone attacks in southeastern Ukraine

Four people were injured in Russian air strikes on civilian infrastructure in Nikopol district of Ukraine’s southeastern Dnipropetrovsk region on Saturday, local authorities reported.

According to the Dnipropetrovsk Regional Military Administration, Oleksandr Hanzha, the attack injured a driver and three passenger, one of whom was 14 years old. The attack involved FPV drones and combat drones at were aimed at residential areas, public transport and emergency services.

Separately, a drone strike hit a fire station in Shostka district of northern Sumy region, damaging a fire tanker and forcing the evacuation of personnel who took shelter following the attack. In northeastern Kharkiv region, a drone attack hit an industrial zone in Kholodnohirskyi district. In addition, Mayor Ihor Terekhov reported a drone attack on a market in Kyivskyi district.

The strikes follow the intense violence in Kharkiv region in the morning where a “Molniya” drone hit a meat processing plant in Bohodukhiv and an “Italmas” drone struck Zolochiv.

Ukraine’s northern Chernishiv region saw the largest-scale violence on April 18, with a strike on an energy facility leaving 380,000 residents without power.
