Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces destroyed 16 valuable Russian air defence assets, including Iskander missile system, in drone attacks launched in the first half of April.
According to the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Robert "Madyar" Brovdi who posted on Telelgram app, Ukrainian drone units attacked two locations where Iskander operational-tactical missile systems were deployed in the settlements of Mizhhiria and Kurortne in Russian-annexed Crimea Peninsula.
The attacks were launched by pilots of the 9th Battalion Kairos of the 414th Separate Unmanned Systems Brigade Ptahy Madyara.
Other hit air defence assets are an Osa-AK surface-to-air missile system that was targeted in Vodyane in eastern Donetsk region; Pantsir-S1 air defense missile and gun system hit in Crimea; a Buk-M1 air defense system targeted in Batahivka in southeastern Zaporizhzhia region. Apart from air defence assets, Ukrainian drone units also delivered strikes on other military and energy facilities. Thus, Ukrainian forces hit Russian army’s fuel depots in Oktyabrske and Hlybokyi Yar in Crimea; an ammunition depot of the Russian Black Sea Fleet in Mizhhiria, Crimea; a workshop and drone storage facility Rubikon in Hirne in Donetsk.
In separate operations, Ukraine’s Unmanned Systems Forces hit the Rosneft oil refinery in Tuapse Russia’s southern Krasnodar region. The attack triggered fires in at least two fuel tanks at the facility. In addition to the refinery site, drone debris was reported near the seaport.
