Ukrainian UAVs damage two vessels in attacks on two piers in Russia’s Kransodar region

Ukrainian drone attacks damaged two piers and two Russian vessels on Russian territory near the Kerch Strait and the Kerch Bridge in the Black Sea coast, authorities of Russia’s southern Krasnodar region reported on Monday.

Russian emergency services said the attack occurred in the settlement of Volna in the Temryuk district of Krasnodar region, on the Black Sea coast close to the Kerch Bridge. The operational headquarters stated that everyone on board the ships was safely evacuated and that no injuries were reported among crew members. Fires broke out at the damaged piers, spreading over an area of approximately 1,000 to 1,500 square meters, and firefighting efforts are ongoing.

Meanwhile, social media reports claim that a pipeline at the oil terminal in Volna was also damaged, with users sharing images showing a fire in the port area. Ukraine has repeatedly targeted the Kerch Bridge and the surrounding Kerch Strait as part of its broader campaign to disrupt Russia’s military logistics and control over Russian-annexed Crimea Peninsula. The bridge, which links Crimea to Russia’s Krasnodar region, is a key supply route for Russian forces, carrying military equipment, fuel, and personnel. Because of its strategic importance and symbolic value, it has become one of the most high-profile targets of Ukrainian strikes. Ukrainian attacks in the Kerch Strait area have involved the use of drones and unmanned maritime vehicles, aiming to damage transport infrastructure, vessels, and supporting facilities near the bridge.
