Ukraine’s Security Service, known as SBU, has struck defence facilities in Moscow region bypassing Russian air defence system in what has been described as Kyiv’s largest drone attack since the start of the war.
The SBU jointly with the Special Operations Forces of the Ukrainian Armed Forces struck
Raduga plant, located in the city of Dubna, 130 kilometers north of Moscow. The SBU reported that the attack bypassed Russian air defence system and hit the factory’s assembly and equipment workshops, setting them on fire.
“The SBU continues to carry out high-precision strikes on critical enterprises of Russia’s military-industrial complex whose products are used as weapons in the war against Ukraine. Drone sanctions by the SBU against the technological rear of the Russian army will continue,” the agency told local media.
Being part of Russia’s Tactical Missiles Corporation, Raduga plant produces various missiles, including air-to-air, surface-to-surface systems, such as Kh-101/555, Kh-69, and Kh-59MK cruise missiles.
In yet another attack, the SBU struck Angstrem enterprise in Moscow region, that is part of military-industrial complex of Russia and produces organic chemicals, including components of explosives and gunpowder, as well as additives to rocket and aviation fuel. The attack follows another strike launched a previous day on Dmitrovsky Plant in Russia’s Ivanovo region. Among other chemicals, the plant produces components of explosives and gunpowder, as well as additives to rocket and aviation fuel.
