The “Ghost” unit under the Ukrainian Army’s Defence Intelligence, known as HUR, has destroyed eight strategic facilities in Russian-annexed Crimea peninsula over the past two weeks, Ukrainian military reported on Friday.
The reconnaissance and strike unit launched series of precision strikes on Russian Su-24 fighter-bomber, domed radar antenna, Kasta-2E2 target acquisition radar system; Kronshtadt Orion combat UAV; a military cargo train, two Podlet K1 (48Ya6-K1) mobile phased-array, extremely low altitude; target tracking radars, used with the S-300 and S-400 surface-to-air missile systems; and an Ural 6x6 military logistics truck.
The Defence Intelligence released video footage showing the strikes on Russian targets. The footage captures Ukrainian UAVs approaching targets at low altitude and recording explosions following strikes. In a statement posted on social media, the Defence Intelligence pledged to continue strikes on Russian targets. Last week, Ukrainian troops attacked several key Russian energy, industrial and military facilities, including an oil refinery in Russia’s Saratov region, a drone storage site at the Saky airfield in Crimea Peninsula, multiple power substations, and military depots in occupied eastern Donetsk and Luhansk regions in Donbass. It should be noted that Russian-annexed Crimea hosts airfields, radar sites, electronic warfare units and supply routes that Russia relies on to continue its war of invasion in Ukraine.
