Ukrainian intelligence has struck a military facility involved in production of high-tech weapons in Russia’s Moscow region. The General Staff of Ukrainian Armed Forces said the Rezonit Technopark was hit in the settlement of Zubovo in a joint operation by Unmanned Systems Forces units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces.
Specializing in large-scale PCB and electronics manufacturing for Russian high-tech military equipment, the site supports critical weapons production. Strike damage details remain unconfirmed.
While the Kremlin has yet to respond to the Ukrainian General Staff's statement, Russia's Ministry of Defense reported on the morning of June 12 that its air defense systems had downed 52 Ukrainian drones overnight. The ministry's statement claimed the interceptions occurred over three Russian regions and occupied Crimea, breaking down the numbers as follows: 41 drones over the Belgorod region, six over Bryansk, three over Moscow, and two over Crimea.
Ukraine and Russia have recently intensified drone and missile attacks. The past two weeks saw the largest Russian air raids since the start of the full-fledged war in 2022.
